At midnight

on a southern Norway June night.  It doesn’t get darker.

Here in Oslo we are close to the longest day of the year.  The sunrise is at 03:54 and sunset is at 22:41.  The days will get a little bit longer until June 21st.  Further north they have the Midnight sun, but it doesn’t really get pitch dark here either.  This summer light is the most kind light you can imagine.  It softens hard edges and gives everything a golden glow.  There is nothing quite like it, and it’s what I would miss the most if I wasn’t living here,
