Mind you, he was on a leash. For now, until he is a little older, I think that’s best. But it limits him, of course, and is not a solution for a cat in the long run.

In our house there are two cats. A kitten named Herkules, born May 19th, 2008 and the famous Miss Italy (Italienerfrøkenen, aka Raptus), born roughly September 1st, 2005. My first and much loved cat, Pondus, unfortunately died this summer, after being run over by a car. He is missed.

This image was taken once when Tiger cub had his round of chicken pox. Miss Italy didn’t leave his bed until he was well again. She comes running to comfort him when he cries and doesn’t go anywhere until all is well again. It was treated with several filters to get the painted look.

In 2005 I had a visit from friends from Brasil, and showed them Norwegian fjords and mountains. The best comment from the trip was: “Did we take a wrong turn somewhere? I think we’re inside a film from National Geographic.”
